What Do You Behold?

Matt and I have somehow slipped into a comfortable reading pattern over the last few years.  Our “morning books”, as we refer to them, are always non-fiction, often spiritual in nature.  Most mornings we start the day off with tea and quiet time on the deck, in our music room or by the wood stove.  We read our morning books, sometimes discussing what we’ve read.  In the evenings, if we’re not too tired, we read our “bedside books,” which are fiction.

The morning book we both just finished reading was called “Falling Upward” by Richard Rohr.  We both found it enlightening and relatable.  I love a book-whether non-fiction or otherwise-that gives me a new perspective to consider or shifts my paradigm on an age-old idea.

Today I started a new morning book called “The Divine Dance”, again, by Richard Rohr.  Here’s a quote that resonated with me:

I just wanted to share it because I liked it. 😍
